[Class 82 (ii)] Ore pulp is concentrated on a multiple unit concentrator comprising a number of tiltable decks, pulp being supplied continuously to a distributer by which it is fed to the decks while they are in the concentrating position and diverted from the decks and returned to the distributer while the decks are in the discharging position. In the plant shown, pulp is admitted from a launder 31 to a sump 32 from which it is continuously pumped to a distributor 95 provided in its base with a number of spouts 35 corresponding to the number of concentrator units, each supplying pulp to an annular series of hoppers 36 from which pipes 37 pass it to the feed boxes 40 of the decks 3. A sector-shaped deflector 49 mounted for rotation on a vertical axis 41 moves between the spouts 35 and the hoppers 36 and deflects the pulp from a particular spout 35 to a hopper 50 and back to the sump 32. At this time, the decks 3 of the corresponding concentrator unit 1 are tilted by means of a cam 13 and links 8, 10, and a valve 71 is simultaneously opened to supply water through pipes 73 to wash the concentrates from the decks 3 into a launder 7.
