[Class 120 (ii)] Mechanism of the kind set forth in Specification 456,425, for suspending bobbins in the creels of spinning &c. machines, comprises a resilient U-shaped member 33, within the cylindrical casing 10, having downwardly extending arms 30 embracing the rotatable catch 18, one arm being formed with a hook 31, whereby on upward movement of the member 23, i.e., when the bobbin is pressed upwardly against the collar 27 which engages the member 23 through a key 25, the hook 31 will turn the catch 18, by engaging one or other of plates 20 which space the elongated hexagonal catch plates 19, to move the catch to a horizontal or vertical position so to retain or release the bobbin whose upper end is positioned between the catch faces 19 and the conical face 32 of the collar 27. A compression spring 29 is positioned between the upper end of the tube 10 and a dished plate 28 contacting the key 25.
