Improvements in building rail cars with a brake vacuum or compressed air capable of being switched to two different positions of forces braking when changing from one to the other of the two different positions of power braking is effected by a switch power to supplied vacuum or compressed air brake system by a valve device which is governed in dependence on the load of the wagon and this by an articulated lever in the wagon infrastructure in attacking force support one of the springs of the wagon and which is supported by a counter-spring acting counter to the bearing force t this counter-spring and the valve device housed in a common housing being thus forming a structural unit characterized in that the lever supported in the wagon infrastructure at its free end acts on a second lever at a point which is located at a shorter distance from point rotation of this lever point thereof acting on the counter-spring.
