Hygienic neck band for use in hairdressing

[Also in Group VII] Neck protectors, for use in hairdressing, are made as a connected series of bands of transversely crinkled paper one or both ends of each band being provided with a permanently tacky adhesive. As shown, the bands 1a are formed as sections of a continuous web 4 partially slit at intervals at 5. In use a band is detached from the web, which may be in a container, and stretched round the neck, the ends 2, provided with adhesive 3, being turned outwardly and secured together. The hairdresser's cover cloth is laid over the band, the top portion of which is then folded over the cloth, to protect the skin from contact with the cloth. The Provisional Specification describes protective neck bands provided as separate units.
