A waistband, particularly for ski - trousers adapted to be worn in two alternative positions, comprises an upper strap 4 and a lower strap 5 each preferably elastic and provided with fastening means 7, 8, the lower strap being adapted to exert greater tension when fastened than the upper one. The straps 4, 5 may be formed as an integral band with a central ridge 3, the lower part being provided with ribs 6 to grip the shirt. The lower strap 5 may be shorter than the upper one or its fastening means may be located further towards the rear. Ventilation holes may be provided.
