Improvements in or relating to an electrically operated device for adding a plurality of weighing results in an electrically controlled indicator for weighing scales, especially automatic weighing scales
691,004. Digital electric calculating-apparatus. SCHEMBER & SOHNE, C., BRUCKENWAAGENUND MA.SCHINENFABRIKEN AKT.-GES. July 24, 1950, No. 18448/50. Addition to 652,674, [Group XXXVIII]. Class 106 (i). An electrically-controlled indicator for weighing-scales according to Specification 652,674, [Group XXXVIII], in which indicating discs 6, 6SP1/SP, &c. are stepped by pulses sent to electromagnets 1, 1SP1/SP, &c., includes adding means comprising a contact 9, 91, &c. on each disc-carrying shaft 5, 5SP1/SP, &c., which at the transfer point closes the circuit of a relay 11, 11SP1/SP &c., thus applying an impulse to the electromagnet of the next higher denomination. As shown, pulses representing a weighing result to be added, produced as described in the parent Specification, are applied via terminals E, Z, H to magnets 1, 1SP1/SP, 1SP11/SP. A relay 11, 11SP1/SP, &c., when energized, closes contacts 12, 12SP1/SP, &c. to prepare a circuit for the magnet 1SP1/SP, 1SP11/SP, &c. This magnet is subsequently connected to a current source S by the energization of transfer relay 14 which closes contacts 13. The numeral discs are zeroized by closing a switch 18, 19 to energize magnets 1, 1.SP1/SP, &c. through wiper contacts 7, 71, &c., which normally engage broken contactrings 8, 8SP1/SP, &c. The magnets close contacts 21; 21SP1/SP, &c. so that they are successively energized and de-energized, due to the operation of contacts 20 of relay 17 energized through contacts 19 and 21, 21SP1/SP, &c. until the contacts 7, 71, &c. reach the zero gaps 22, 221, &c.
