[Also in Group VI] After they have been caught, whales or other large marine animals are preserved by means of internal cooling coils 2 through which seawater or refrigerant is circulated. The coils may be constructed in two parts, (Fig. 3), connected in parallel between supply and discharge connections 15, 14 and may embrace an air bladder 17 for making the carcase buoyant.
