[Also in Group XXV] A bush 1, Fig. 6, for use in a bolted connection, such as those described in Specification 800,231, e.g. in building components, comprises a cylindrical portion 1a and a head portion 2, and a bore 3 or a slot extending through both portions, coaxially or eccentrically. In connecting components 5SP1/SP, 5SP11/SP, Fig. 12, two bushes 1 are used with their portions 1a engaging aligned apertures in the components and a bolt 6 extending through the aligned bores to receive a nut 6SP11/SP, the bore 3 of at least one of the bushes being formed eccentrically with respect to the axes of portion 1a. The undersurface of the head may have an annular groove to engage a locking rim surrounding the aperture. The undersurface of head 2 may have serrations 10, Fig. 19, or the upper surface may be similarly serrated to engage the nut or bolt head. The peripheral surface of portion 1a may be roughened or serrated for engaging a similarly shaped aperture in the component, or to be driven into a circular aperture in the component. The bore 3 may have a serrated wall 11 for engagement by a serrated portion 14, Fig. 24, of bolt 6, which portion may engage both bores 3 of opposed bushes in a connection. Alternatively a sleeve 12, Fig. 21, having serrations 13 and bore 3a may be used to pass through aligned bores 3. Discs 1SP1/SP, Fig. 28, having apertures for bushes 1SP11/SP and of similar form to the bushes may be used in components 5.
