A roller cleaning device for draft systems of textile spinning machines having cleannig boards engaging under the lower rollers, extending from the delivery rollers to behind the intake rollers and rotatably mounted at the rear such that the front end on release can drop down is characterized by the front ends of the lower cleaning media being held in their position of application by a releasable locking-device and suspended at their rear bearing positions in such a way that on hinging down they also move forward. As shown, the invention is applied to a system having four pairs of rollers 1-I, 2-II, 3-III and 4-IV. The lower cleaning surface consists of an endless band 9 stretched over a frame 10 from the rear of which extends wire hooks 16 by which it is hung on an oscillating shaft 8. The front end of the frame 10 is held in the operative position by a spring clip 17. To release the cleaner, the spring 17 is pulled forward, thus allowing the cleaner to drop down and move forward to the position shown in Fig. 2. To replace the cleaner to the operative position it is merely pushed back and upwards so that the front edge of the frame 10 contacts the inclined surface 21 of the spring 17, thus forcing it outwards until the frame 10 is in the operative position when the spring 17 returns to its normal position to hold the frame in place. The upper cleaning 5 is moved backwards and forwards by a push-rod 6 loosely connected to a lever arm 7 connected to the oscillating shaft 8. In a second embodiment the upper cleaner is merely pushed forward, the return motion being brought about by the rotation of the upper rollers.
