[Also in Group XIV] Means for mounting spanners &c. comprises a mounting surface and a number of pairs of spring clips fixed to the mounting surface in staggered relationship, the jaws of the clips being upwardly and outwardly inclined and each clip being provided with abutment means for locating the spanners relatively to each other in defined spaced relationship. As shown, spring-jawed clips 11 are secured to the forwardly-projecting, apertured mounting surface 101 of a flanged plate 10 by self-tapping screws 12. The clips are bent from strip metal and include a lead-in portion 116 to facilitate insertion of the spanner, a closed end 115 abutting the mounting surface, and a stepped portion 113 constituting an abutment and locating means for the spanner held by the clips next above. In modifications, the mounting surface is unperforated and the clips are attached by ordinary screws, nuts and bolts, or rivets. Specification 764,061 is referred to.
