摘要
774,291. Brazing. BRITISH THOMSONHOUSTON CO., Ltd. Feb. 10, 1955 [Feb. 18, 1954], No. 4831/54. Class 83 (4). In forming an oxidation resistant joint between members of molybdenum or of molybdenum-tungsten alloy or between a member of molybdenum and a member of the alloy, the members are brazed together with nickel as the brazing metal and the joint is then subjected to a siliciding process which may be the pack method disclosed in Specification 730,855, [Group XXXVI]. Molybdenum wires forming part of an electric heater element are nickel brazed into a recess in a molybdenum terminal block, e.g. in a hydrogen atmosphere using, e.g., electric arc heating. The terminal block and wires are then silicided.
