[Also in Group X] A pig hut constituting a farrowing device is provided with a wall 17 which, is inclined outwardly and downwardly and a horizontal shelf 23 which projects inwardly from the inclined wall to form the top of a " creep " the front of which is open. As shown a hinged vertical frame 25 is provided to form a compartment 27 which is packed with hay or straw. The shelf 23 and frame 25 may be folded against the wall 17. A sliding glazed panel 29 is provided for feeding purposes. The roof 18 is hinged and may be pivotally opened for ventilation. An opening 19 is provided together with a hinged door 20. The hut is provided with skids 10a. A row of infra-red lamps or other heating means may be placed in the compartment 27. The hut may be of double thickness with a lining of wood shavings, straw or glass wool.
