Class 87(1) A roofing tile has two longitudinal main ribs along opposite edges, the first having a plane upper surface D, Fig. 5, with a further rib A projecting from it, and the second having an outwardly directed overhang with plane lower surface C and a channel B of complementary shape to the surface D and rib A respectively. A central rib H is also provided, all of the ribs being tapered and having their lower surfaces channeled as at J. Interlocking cross ribs E, F extend across the ends of the tile, the upwardly directed rib E forming a flange P over the outer rib H. Projections G, K are provided on the lower surface for securing the tile to a lath.
