A dummy warhead 1 for anti-tank missiles is screwed into the body 2 of the projectile and is filled with a coloured cloud-producing material separated from the contents of the body by a disc 10 of cardboard. The stem of the body 2 is internally threaded at 4 to engage the plug of a projector and is provided with a threaded hole 5 which receives a dummy safety device comprising a tube 3 in which a sliding head 6 is supported by a spring 8. During storage and transport a ring 9 prevents movement of the head 6. Within the stem is a mass 11 of high density held in place by a cardboard disc 13, the remainder of the space within the stem and body 2 being filled with ballast, the whole being so arranged that the centre of gravity corresponds with that of a live shell. A cardboard disc 12 holds the ballast in place and between the disc 10 and disc 12 is more of the cloud-producing material.
