Copolymers of triffuoro - nitroso - methane and tetrafluoro - ethylene

A normally solid copolymer is made from equimolar quantities of trifluoronitrosomethane and tetrafluoroethylene. The monomers may be initially reacted together in the absence of oxygen at a temperature from - 20 DEG to - 50 DEG C. for 10-150 hours until an oil is formed. The oil is then maintained at a temperature of from 30 DEG to 200 DEG C. for 400-20 hours, yielding a rubbery solid with resistance to heat, solvents and chemicals.
