A reaping or mowing implement for cutting crops or undergrowth, comprises a flexible, endless V-belt 11 carrying double-edged blades 12 and mounted on two pulleys 7 and 10 carried by a supporting bar 4, the pulley 7 being resiliently mounted on the bar so as to allow variation of the tension of the belt 11. Members 16 and 17 are provided on the bar 4, whereby the implement can be attached to the three-point linkage of a tractor, the drive to the endless band cutter being derived from the power take-off of the tractor via the pulley 21, the endless band 23, and the pulley 15 mounted on the spindle 6 carrying the pulley 10. The implement is raised or lowered by means of the power lift mechanism of the tractor. The endless-band cutter may be enclosed in a casing and the implement may further be provided with an elevator. According to the Provisional Specification, the casing may be provided with fingers or bars to hold the crop being cut.
