Classes 30(2) and 20(4) A structural framework tor a roof or wall comprises interconnected and alternately inverted skeleton pyramids P built up from a number of 'tiemembers 1. The tie-members may be of hollow rectangular section and each may be formed from two metal channel members 1a, 1b, Fig. 4, having interlocking ribs 2. Each end of each tie-member is pivoted to a junction member 5 thus forming the apices of the pyramids. In the form shown in Fig. 1, roof and ceiling battens 6a, 6b respectively, are secured to the flat portions of the junction members. By reason of the pivots, the framework is collapsible lengthwise and crosswise. The pyramids need not all be of the same size and the apices need not necessarily be in flat planes but may lie along arcs ranging up to a full semicircle. In Fig. 5 the battens 6b are replaced by a two-dimensional folding tension framework 9, 10, 11, this Figure being shown inverted with respect to Fig. 1.
