The gloves &c. then pass to a waste removal station 16, consisting of a hopper 54 for receiving the waste plastic material and a hopper 56 for receiving the waste paper strip, and then to a web cutting station 18 where a transverse knife 57 cuts the paper web so that each glove with a paper backing falls into hopper 60. The webs are fed intermittently and dancers 72 and 78 are provided to take up the slack in the webs. The feed is so arranged that when one glove is being stamped another is at the lubricating station and another is being cut off by knife 57.
