The output oscillations may be counted, after limiting, as a measure of the input pulse duration c by applying them through capacitors C i ... c n to the collector circuits of a number of parallel connected normally blocked tunnel diode oscillators D 1 ... Dn so that each in turn is keyed on by successive pulses and due to resistors R 01 ... R 0n connecting the collector circuits, each in turn is prepared, by alteration of its collector operating voltage, for energization by a succeeding pulse. The last oscillator D n renders operative a normally blocked tunnel diode oscillator D 0 , T so that a pulse from its collector circuit to all the common electrodes of the oscillators D 1 ... D n again restores them to their initial blocked condition and the cycle recommences.
