Class 82 (2) A washing separating and grading machine comprises a tank containing water, a feed hopper, a vibratory frame supporting a flat, tilted screen for vertical vibration, the screen being submerger and arranged so that the upper part, below the hopper, has a smaller mesh than the lower part, and compartments below the screen each associated with an elevator to remove the underpass from each screen and the material passing over the larger mesh. As shown feed, from hopper i is supplied to screen hSP4/SP, hSP2/SP submerged in tank a and vibrated by eccentric hSP1/SP upon springs hSP3/SP. The feed is separated into three fractions which fall into compartments e, f and g from which they are removed by conveyers b, c and d. Flanges hSP5/SP on the screen co-operate with dividing walls fSP1/SP and gSP1/SP. The base of the tank a is of V section.
