880,900. Dynamo-electric machine casings. MASCHINENFABRIK OERLIKON. Feb. 18, 1960 [March 3, 1959], No. 5842/60. Class 35. Stator vibrations in dynamo-electric machines are prevented from affecting the bearings by making the stator in three parts, the two end parts being rigidly mounted and resiliently connected to an elastically supported centre part. End parts 3, 4, serving as coolers for hydrogen in the alternator, are rigidly secured by supports 6 to bed 10. Brackets 8 on the centre part 2 are supported by resilient elements 9 fixed to bed 10. An annular rubber seal 13, compressed by a flexible steel locating bolt 14, is placed between the end and central part of the stator. Alternatively the elastic seal may be a steel bellows. The support 9 may have double vertical parts instead of single ones as shown.
