Pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of megaloblastic macrocytic anemias comprise histidine or a salt thereof in admixture with one or more of folic acid, serine and p-aminobenzoic acid or salts thereof. The compositions may also comprise conventional pharmaceutical excipients and may be in forms suitable for oral or parenteral administration.
