A loose-leaf binder wherein flexible posts 4 of plastics material (e.g. polythene) are anchored at one end to a stub 2 of the binder and their free ends passed under a bridge-piece 5 secured to the other cover, is characterized in that the intermediate portion 9 of the bridge-piece is slit along lines 6a and a centre-piece 8 folded under the intermediate portion 9 along a fold line 7, the centre-piece being cut away at 10 to form passageways for the strips. The strips are provided with enlarged heads 3 or are formed from a single U-shaped strip, and the heads 3 or the cross-piece of the U-shaped strip positioned between the stub walls.
