PICT:0930800/IV(a)/1 PICT:0930800/IV(a)/2 Apparatus for removing dust from the clothes of a standing human comprises a chamber having front and rear doors, a revolving floor 30, means for recirculating air from an outlet 17 via a centrifugal fan, a coarse pre-filter, and a high efficiency absolute filter to twin inlets 19, and means for injecting clean air at a pressure of 60 psi through six apertures 27 from corresponding downwardly inclined nozzles 26 in a manifold 24 outside the chamber after passage through pre-filter 22 and high efficiency main filter 23. The chamber has a pair of strip lights 32. Fresh air may be introduced into the circulating air via an inlet 28 having an adjustable blade damper. The nozzles 26 may have swirl vanes. The apparatus may be an air lock between a clean area and an external area and the cleaning means may be capable of being brought into operation only on passage of a worker to the clean area from an external area. One door may be openable only when the other one is closed and the cleaning means may be operable only when both doors are closed. The cleaning means may operate for a set period.
