A composition for treating the bark of a rubber tree to increase the yield of latex and/or bark renewal that has a Redwood viscosity between 40 and 1,100 seconds at 140 DEG F. comprises a plant hormone in admixture with a naphthenic mineral oil. Other additives may be petrolalum or microcrystalline wax. Hormones specified are 2,4-dichlorophenoxy-, 2-chloro-4-methylphenoxy-, 2,4,5-trichlorophenoxy-, b -naphthoxy-, a -naphthalene- and indolyl acetic acids or their salts, amides or esters.ALSO:A composition for applying to rubber trees to increase the yield of latex and/or bank renewal that has a Redwood viscosity between 40 and 1100 seconds at 140 DEG F. comprises a plant hormone and a naphthenic mineral oil.
