In apparatus capable of intermittently advancing corrugated cardboard to a cutting device, in which apparatus a feed-table fastened to a rocking lever, and a gripper are arranged to oscillate in the path of the cardboard, the gripper is arranged to reciprocate also in a direction perpendicular to said path and to grip the cardboard for the purpose of advancing the same to the cutting device by means of member or members, adapted to engage a corrugation valley or corrugation valleys, normally present in the cardboard, and in which the drive of the feed-table and the gripper is coupled to the drive of the cutting device. A rocking lever 3, Fig. 3, is pivotally mounted on a spindle 1 and has a feeding table 5 at one end. The lever 3 is driven by a cam 23 via a roller 24, a transmission lever 25 pivoted at 26, and a member 34 rigidly attached to the lever bearing on a roller 32. The position of the roller 32 mounted on a slide member 28 can be adjusted with nuts 30, 31, thereby varying the amplitude of oscillation of the lever 3. A gripper arm 6, Figs. 1 and 2, is slidably mounted on the lever 3 in guides 4, and has a holder member 7 embodying presser rods 8. The gripper arm 6 is driven by a cam 13 mounted on the same shaft 12 as cam 23 but approximately 180 degrees out of phase. The cam 12 provides a reciprocating motion through a roller 14 adjustable in a slot 16 of a lever 17 pivoted at 18, and through a connecting link 21 pivoted at 20 and also pivoted to a bearing pin 22 rigidly connected with the gripper arm 6. As shown in Fig. 1, the embodiment disclosed has two rocking levers, each provided with a gripper, which operate alternately.
