In an image-orthicon tube arrangement in which leakage fields penetrating into the image section from the line-scanning coils are compensated by coils disposed about the image section within a conductive screen and, fed with currents of the same frequency as those supplied to the line-scanning coils but with a waveform deformed according to a time constant determined by adjustable, passive elements constituting a correction network in order to secure complete neutralization. The line currents are fed to the compensating coils from the deflection coils via a variable inductor or transformer in parallel with a variable resistor which is in series with the compensating coils.
