A pick-up and projection mirror for panoramic photography and projection comprises a mirror formed as a body of rotation, the body being formed by the rotation of a convex circular arc, having its centre outside the body, about an axis. As shown, the mirror body 7, formed by the rotation of an arc 2 having a centre 3 about an axis 1, has its outer surface provided with a mirror and is mounted so that its axis lies in the optic axis of a lens 5. In a modification, Fig. 2,the body shown in Fig. 1 is inverted and has an aperture 9 formed around the apex. A plane mirror 8 reflects rays from the lens 5 to the body in projection and intaking, from the body to the lens. In projecting, the body may be located on the centre line of a translucent cylindrical screen and the picture viewed from outside the cylinder. The cylindrical screen may be opaque and the picture viewed from within the cylinder.
