In a method of grouting a hollow rock bolt 10 having a threaded outer end 21, the bolt being installed in a hole 11, a coupling 22 having a threaded bore, is engaged with the outer extremity of the bolt, a grout tube 27 is connected to the coupling and grout is supplied to the hole 11 via the tube, coupling and bolt. A bearing plate 14 is engaged over the bolt 10 to transfer the stresses from the bevel washer 15 and nut 16. A seal 17 is formed by plastic sealing compound at the opening of the hole. Displaced air is exhausted through a conduit 19. The threaded bore of the coupling 22 is equipped with a sealing ring 24. A projection 26 which is a standard tube fitting has threaded engagement with the main body of the coupling 22.
