At the "switch-over " point switches 37, 42 and 43 are moved to their lower positions; the voltage across capacitor C 1 begins to fall from that corresponding to angle b. Simple exponential voltage fall is modified by R 2 , C 2 &c., preferably R 1 C 1 =R 2 C 2 .
