[Also in Division E1] A sweeping machine, for leaves, has a pressure roller 9, to depress. leaves and garbage, in front of a suction intake 3 having a transverse axis fan 5, the fan being followed by a brush 11, the lower part of which moves towards the suction intake. The roller 9 is carried in bearings allowing vertical movement and a flexible wall 10 is positioned between the roller and the fan rotor. The blades of the fan are hinged on axes parallel to the rotor axis. A side brush 16 may be provided and the motor 4 also used to propel the machine.
