[Also in Division F2] A valve for use in surgical infusion apparatus for the simultaneous feeding of a first fluid (e.g. blood) and a second fluid (e.g. a supplimentary medicamemt) to a mixing chamber 6 comprises a housing having a passageway between an inlet (3) and an outlet (4) and a feedto orifice (8), yieldable means 12 in sealing relationship with the feed-in orifice and which yields under pressure to provide communication between the feed-in orifice and the mixing chamber whereby the fluids are mixed. The yieldable means 12 may be of rubber or resilient plastic, such as polyethylene or polyvinyl chloride, is carried by a tubular insert 10, and may alternatively be in the form of a semicircular lip. The orifice (8) is surrounded by a conical tube 7 adapted to receive the tenon cone 16, of a hypodermic syringe containing supplimentary medicament or a cap-like closure member (not shown). The outlet may be connected to a cannula.
