Method of reducing caking tendency of urea-paraffin wax fertilizer

A slow-release fertilizer comprises urea dispersed in petroleum wax containing 2-35% of rosin in natural or modified form. The wax may also contain 2-20% of asphalt. 5-80% of urea having a mesh size of less than 120 mesh may be present. 15-49% of wax phase may be present. The fertilizer may also contain triple superphosphate, potassium chloride or sulphate, or diammonium phosphate. Various rosin derivatives are specified. Properties of suitable wax and asphalt are given.
