[Also in Divisions F2 and H1] A flexible hose for conveying a welding wire, welding current, shielding gas and compressed gas to a welding gun comprises an inner tube 1 conducting the wire and the shielding gas, a plaited current carrying conductor 3 surrounding the tube 1 and an outer concentric tube 2 conducting the compressed gas. The outer tube 2 may be of rubber and the inner tube 1 of plastic and the tubes together with the conductor 3 are connected at one end to a conductor sleeve 4 to which is fitted a tapered member 6. The sleeve 4 and member 6 constitute a plug insertable in a gun as described in Specification 1,036,803 to carry the welding current and to supply wire, carbon dioxide and compressed air through outlets 8, 7 and 5 respectively. At the other end the hose has a conductive sleeve 11 fitting into a block 16. A cable clamp 17 connects welding current to the sleeve 11 and carbon dioxide and compressed air is supplied through inlets 19, 18 respectively. A helix 15 of beryllium bronze or phosphor bronze extends partially or completely through the inner tube 1 to guide the welding wire.
