Convertible sun-bathing eye shield and sun glasses with expandible field of vision

A sun-bathing eye-shield for fitting over the eye sockets, which is convertible to sun-glasses, comprises two eye-pieces (one of which is shown in Fig. 3) mounted in an opaque frame (1), the eye-pieces comprising a fixed polarizing lens or disc 10 mounted in a cylindrical boss 5 in a member 2 of frame (1), and a second polarizing lens or disc 12 mounted in a cylindrical mounting 14 which may be pressed into an aperture 7 and held there by a rib 20 snapping over a rib 19; in this position the amount of light passing may be altered by rotating the member 14. When used as sun-glasses the field of vision may be increased by removing each member 14. Each lens 10 may be rotated by removing it from the housing by snapping it over a rib 8, and replacing it at the required angle.
