A base-plate for a relay has a plurality of pins 21, 23 etc. secured therein, a movable contact blade 29 being secured directly, e.g. by welding to the shank of pin 21 and engaging the hooked end 25 of the pin 21. The free end of the blade carries contacts 31, 32 which co-operates with contacts 27, 26 provided on the hooked ends of pins 23 (19) (Fig. 1, not shown). The contact pressure may be adjusted by bending the hooked end 25 of pin 21. In Figs. 3 and 4, not shown, each fixed contact pin has a trifurcated end and one leg of a U-shaped contact blade spring is secured between the centre prong and the two outer prongs of the pin. The U-shaped springs are adjustable. An arrangement having two changeover contact sets is described.
