Detergent compositions for topical application include, as emollient, a sulpho-succinate hemi-ester of ethoxylated cholesterol, ethoxylated wool wax alcohols or ethoxylated lanolin, and may contain in addition colorants, perfumes, germicides, sun-screens, insect-repellants, soluble phosphates, deodorants, sequestrants and propellants.
