A process for the production of raw stock for the manufacture of sulphuric acid and cement from calcium sulphate residues

Raw stock for cement and sulphuric acid manufacture is obtained by mixing, without a joint milling step, CaSO4 residues with the usual additions such as clay, sand, coke and pyrites, both the residues and the additions having a particle size less than 0.090 mms. Any coarse CaSO4 residue present after drying and calcining is comminuted before being added to the separately ground additives.
