A detachable programming frame for electrically controlled office machines comprises two plates 1, 2 (Fig. 1) secured together by angle pieces 3, each plate carrying a matrix of inwardly extending contact pins 7, 7a and/or sockets 6 arranged to be interconnected, those of one plate with those of the other, by patch cords, the upper plate 1 having outwardly extending contacts for connection to co-operating contacts in diode frames 8, 9 and the base-plate 2 having contact pins 11 for plugging into the supply sockets of the machine and slotted guides 12 engageable with detents in the machine to ensure and maintain correct coupling. Each diode frame 8, 9 (also Figs. 5, 6, not shown) has out-outs (16) to receive two or four diodes and a further cut-out (20) providing access to a common return path for all of the diodes in each frame.
