A barge 5 is towed by a pair of hulls 1 connected by a platform bridge 2, the tension in connecting ropes 4, 4a is limited to a prescribed amount, and the shape of the assembly conforms to a prescribed rule. Both the towing vessel and the barge have engines and propellers. It is stated that the arrangement can turn in its own length. A jet engine, dynamos, electric motors, and battery-charging arrangements are referred to.
