[Also in Division E2] A cylindrical starter 12 for a fluorescent discharge lamp is mounted by providing a circular hole in the lamp fitting, e.g. in the spine 10, inserting an annular clip 11 having an opening of slightly larger diameter than that of the starter in the hole, and pushing the electric leads through and the starter into the opening in the clip. Preferably, the clip has inwardly projecting tongues 111 which grip the starter, the tongues being formed with a neck portion for engaging the periphery of the hole.
