Blow molding composition comprising a blend of vinyl chloride homopolymers and a.b.s. terpolymer

Compositions comprise a mixture of vinyl chloride homopolymers, at least one of which has a K value which differs by not less than 10 from the K value of at least one other homopolymer in said mixture, and a terpolymer of acrylonitrile butadiene and styrene which gives a clear mixture with the vinyl chloride homopolymers by fusion. The compositions may also comprise stabilizers, e.g. di-n-octyl tin polypropylene glycol maleate bis (di-n-octyltin mono-octyl maleate) maleate, di-n-octyltin bis (mono-octyl maleate) and calcium/zinc stabilizers; lubricants, e.g. mixtures of glyceryl monostearate and behenic and/or stearic acid; colouring matter and plasticizers e.g. epoxidised soya bean oil; and may be blow moulded to form bottles and containers. Examples describe compositions comprising mixtures of vinyl chloride homopolymers of K values (1, 3, 5, 7 and 8) 50 and 70; (2) 50, and 60; and (6) 50, 60 and 70.
