The invention comprises compounds of formula wherein R is F, C1, Br, NO 2 , CF 3 or C 1-4 alkyl, alkoxy or alkylthio, n is 1 or 2 and R 2 is Ph possibly containing up to 2 F, C1 or C 1-4 alkyl or alkoxy substituents or 1 Br or CF 3 substituent, provided that (a) when n = 1, R is not halogen, and if R is 7-Me, then R 2 is substituted Ph, (b) when n = 2 the R's may be the same or different and are halogen, alkyl or alkoxy. The compounds are prepared by reacting a correspondingly substituted o-isopropylaminobenzophenone with a C 1-5 -alkyl carbamate in presence of a Lewis acid at at least 140‹ C. Therapeutic compositions for oral or parenteral administration comprise compounds of the above formula, which have anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic and anti-bradykinin activity.
