Cellulose compositions comprise an organic solution of a cellulose ether (e.g. methyl-, 2 - methyl - 6 - hydroxypropyl-, 2 - ethyl - 6 - hydroxyethyl - cellulose) in dimethyl formamide which may be mixed with tetrahydro-furfuryl alcohol, 3-methoxybutyl acetate or isophorone, or the solvent may be tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol and ethylglycol monoacetate. The solution may also contain a wetting agent, a dye or citric or phosphoric acid. The solutions are used as photo-resist developers (see Division G2].
