[Also in Division B5] In an extrusion-blow moulding process for making hollow articles, e.g. bottles, the parison comprises a hot tube of foamable thermoplastic resin the inner and/or outer surfaces of which are rapidly chilled, to form a skin or skins, by fluid jets, e.g. of air or water from internal and/or external nozzles. The parison is longitudinally stretched by rollers.
