摘要
Liquid phosphoramidates of olefine polymers are used as mineral or synthetic lubricating oil additives. The phosphoramidates are prepared by reacting an olefine with a phosphorus halide the molar ratio of olefine to phosphorus halide being 100:0.1-25, in the presence of at least 1.5 moles of Friedel-Crafts catalyst per mole of phosphorus halide and at a temperature below 60 DEG C. so as to produce a phospho-halogenated polymer, removing the catalyst from the phospho-halogenated polymer and reacting the latter with an amine, preferably a linear polyamine, to produce a phosphor-amidate of the polymer. The preferred amines are tetraethylene pentamine, triethylenetetramine and diethylene triamine.ALSO:A liquid phosphorus- and nitrogen-containing polymer is obtained by reacting an olefine with a phosphorus halide, the molar ratio of olefine to phosphorus halide being 100:0.1-25, in the presence of at least 1.5 moles of a Friedel-Crafts catalyst per mole of phosphorus halide and at a temperature below 60 DEG C. so as to produce a phospho-halogenated polymer, removing the catalyst from the phospho-halogenated polymer and reacting the latter with an amine, preferably at a temperature of 50 DEG to 100 DEG C., so as to produce a phosphoramidate of the polymer. The preferred catalyst is AlCl3 mixed with TiCl4 and the preferred amines are linear polyamines such as tetraethylenepentamine, triethylenetetramine and diethylenetriamine. The catalyst residues may be removed by washing, but if this causes hydrolysis the polymer should be rehalogenated before treatment with the amine. In the rehalogenation a chlorinating agent such as a sulphur halide or oxyhalide or a phosphorus halide or oxyhalide may be used. Both the phosphorylation/polymerization reaction and the rehalogenation are preferably carried out in an inert solvent. In the example, the monomer polymerized is 4-methylpentene-1.
