Compositions for stimulating the faculty of learning in animals comprise per unit dose 5-50 mg. of a mixture of 2-imino-5-phenyl-4- oxazolidinone and a physiologically acceptable inorganic base having a solubility product of less than 10SP-1/SP, there being present at least 0.05 moles of the base per mole of oxazolidinone compound. Specified bases include Mg(OH) 2 , MgCO 3 , CaCO 3 and Al(OH) 3 . The compositions may be in conventional forms suitable for oral, parenteral or rectal administration.
