摘要
1,154,720. Quaternary ammonium compounds. GAP. CORP. 27 Sept., 1966 [22 Oct., 1965], No. 43129/66. Heading C2C. [Also in Division C4] Aniline derivatives containing in m- or pposition to the amino group a sulphonamidoalkylene-trialkylammonium group are described. They are used as diazo components in the preparation of azo dyes (see Division C4). The compounds are prepared by condensing a nitro- or acetylamino-benzene-sulphochloride with an N,N-dialkyl-alkylene diamine, quaternating the product with, for example, dimethyl sulphate, and reducing the nitro group or hydrolysing the acetylamino group. In Examples (1) and (10) the preparation of (m- and p-aminobenzenesulphamidopropylene) - trimethylammonium chloride is described. Also specified in examples are compounds as in (1) or (10) but wherein an N-methyl group is replaced by N-n-hexyl, the propylene group is replaced by an ethylene group or the benzene residue contains a methyl group.
