Alloy steel used in moulding machines. Used in ejection moulding gypsum pieces. The steel alloy contains 0.17-0.22% carbon and 12-14% chromium. Preferably, it also comprises a maximum of 1% silicon, 1% magnanese, 0.04% phosphorus and 0.035% sulphur and it is tempered. Such alloy is used for the parts which make contact with the gypsum.
