1296491 Controlling burners JUNKERS & CO GmbH 19 Feb 1970 [20 Feb 1969] 7911/70 Heading F4T In a control system for a gas fired water heater of a central heating system the gas flow to the burner 10 is controlled by a gas safety valve 12, operated by a cam plate 17 which is connected by an intermediate lever 23 to the valve stem 121. The cam plate 17 being mounted on the driven shaft 161 of an electric motor 16, the motor being connected in circuit with a microswitch 15. A water deficiency cut-out 14 is provided with a diaphragm 18 which actuates the microswitch by means of a lever 22 and a transmitting pin 21. The two chambers 141, 142 defined by the diaphragm 18 are connected by lines 19, 20 to the high and low pressure sides of the water circulation system, which includes a pump (not shown), so that when the "high" pressure of the water is at a predetermined value the microswitch 15 operates to switch on the motor 16 and rotate the cam plate, thus opening the gas valve 12. A control box 13 houses the drive motor 16, the microswitch 15 and the electrical circuitry of the system, and is provided with two bushes, one, 24, to guide the intermediate lever 23 and the other, in the form of an extension 143 of the water deficiency cut out, to guide the transmitting pin 21.
